Subscriptions & billing

How do I start a free trial?

Tap any locked story in the app, or open Settings, and choose a plan on the paywall screen. New subscribers get a 3-day free trial on both the monthly and annual plans.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple, not through us directly. On your device, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, find Ghost Calls Stories, and cancel there. You can also get there from inside the app: Settings tab → "Manage Subscription."

I reinstalled the app (or got a new device) and lost my subscription. What do I do?

Open the app, go to the Settings tab or the paywall screen, and tap "Restore Purchases." This re-links your existing subscription to the app using your Apple ID — you won't be charged again.

Why was I charged?

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each trial or billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. If you don't recognize a charge, check Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device first — that's the authoritative record of what you're subscribed to and when it renews.

Using the app

How does narration work?

Narration happens entirely on your device using Apple's built-in text-to-speech — nothing is streamed, recorded, or sent to a server. You can adjust narration speed and voice in the Settings tab.

How do I submit a story?

Members can submit a story from the Submit tab (or Settings → "Submit a Story"). Fill in the title, a 75–150 character teaser, a story of at least 500 characters, and a category, then agree to the submission rules before sending it in.

How long does it take to review a submission, and why was mine denied?

There's no guaranteed review timeline, and submissions can be denied for any reason at our discretion — most often for not including enough detail, or for content that risks identifying a real person. See the Submission Agreement for the full rules.

How do favorites work?

Tap the heart icon on any story to save it. Favorites are stored only on your device, not synced to an account — if you switch devices or reinstall, your favorites won't carry over.

Account & privacy

Do I need to create an account?

No. Ghost Calls Stories doesn't have accounts or logins — everything works anonymously.

What data do you collect?
